    International Workshop “Bridging Russian and European Technology Platforms”

    The Research Laboratory for Economics of Innovation of the National Research University “Higher School of Economics” (HSE) held the International Workshop “Bridging Russian and European Technology Platforms” on December 7, 2011 in Moscow. The event was supported by the EU 7-th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development INCO BILAT-RUS project consortium and was organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

    International Conference "International Cooperation in Education and Science"

    The National Research University "Higher School of Economics" held a two-days International Conference on "International Cooperation in Education and Science", with a workshop on "Russia-EU Cooperation in Academic Mobility" and a round table discussion on "Academic Mobility in Russian Universities".     Information Day on the new FP7 calls for proposals

    The National Research University "Higher School of Economics" held an Information Day on new calls for proposals of the EU Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7) on the 22nd of July 2011. The Information Day was organised by FP7 Russian National Contact Points "INCO" and "Mobility" and supported by the following FP7 projects: "Trans-national co-operation among NCPs for International Cooperation - One World" (INCONTACT - OneWorld) and "Enhancing the Bilateral S&T Partnership with the Russian Federation" (BILAT-RUS).

    EU-Russia Common Spaces Progress Report 2010 just published

    The EU-Russia Common Spaces Progress Report 2010 outlines progress made during 2010 on the implementation of the four EU-Russia Common Spaces (Trade and Economic cooperation; Freedom, Security and Justice; External Security; and Research, Education and Culture). It also looks forward to the next steps expected in 2011. A detailed section is devoted to each of the four spaces.

    “S&T Gate RUS.EU” web portal launched to aid research co-operation between the European Union and the Russian Federation

    The new “S&T Gate RUS.EU” web portal aims to improve networking between the research structures of the European Union and the Russian Federation, helps to increase mutual knowledge of the various national research landscapes, and thereby to support international co-operations. The web portal thus supports the aim of the 7th EU Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development of expanding the European Research Area and intensifying collaboration with non-member countries. It was launched on 1 March 2010.

    EU-Russia research cooperation good but could be better, says report

    EU-Russia cooperation works well and Russian partners' contribution to EU-funded projects is highly appreciated by EU partners. Nevertheless, much needs to be done to boost Russian participation in the EU framework programmes and to integrate them fully into the European Research Area (ERA). These are the main conclusions of a new report from the EU-funded RUSERA EXE ('Expanding ERA over Russia') project.

    EXTEND Opening Conference: Fostering Scientific and Research Co-operation between Eastern Europe and the Southern Caucasus Countries and the EU

    The FP7 EXTEND project was officially launched at the Opening Conference in Chisinau, Moldova, on 19 June 2009, in the premises of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM) which is also an EXTEND partner.

    Expert Meeting on Success Factors for Russian Participation in the EU RTD Framework Programme”, Moscow, 14th May 2009

    The meeting was aimed to strengthening international S&T co-operation between Russia, the EU Member States and FP7 Associated Countries. State-of-the–art, lessons learnt and prospects of participation of non-EU Member States in the RTD Framework Programme as well as promotional role of NCPs have been reviewed. The structured discussion on success factors for Russian participation in the EU RTD Framework Programme was part of the meeting.     BILAT-RUS: Enhancing the bilateral S&T Partnership with the Russian Federation

    BILAT-RUS was launched on 1st September 2008. The project which is funded by the European Commission aims at enhancing the bilateral S&T partnership between the Russian Federation and the EU Member States, Candidate Coun-tries and other Associated Countries.
