The National Research University "Higher School of Economics" held a two-days International Conference on "International Cooperation in Education and Science", with a workshop on "Russia-EU Cooperation in Academic Mobility" and a round table discussion on "Academic Mobility in Russian Universities". Presentations are now available.The event was supported by the BILAT-RUS project, which is funded under the EU 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development, and was organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
The meeting began with opening remarks from Sergey Ivanets, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and Leonid Gokhberg, Vice-Rector, Director of the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economic of Knowledge, National Research University "Higher School of Economics" (HSE).

The second day of the Conference was devoted to exchange of experience of Russian universities (National Research Universities and Federal Universities) on practical realisation of instruments existing in Russia to support international academic mobility (Mega-grants, etc.) through a Round Table Discussion “Academic Mobility in Russian Universities” on 26 October 2011.
The round table discussion“National EU Member States & Russia Initiatives to support Academic Mobility” was moderated by Igor Morozov, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency on Commonwealth Independent States Affairs, Compatriots - Abroad Residents and International Humanitarian Co-operation (Rossotrudnichestvo).
Round Table Speakers:
69 representatives of the universities, research organizations, Ministry for Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the European Commission, Joint EU-Russia Researcher Mobility Working Group, funding institutions and industrial entities participated in the Conference.
